David
You should give some thought to adding porch rails or along-the-walk rails to your portfolio. You could manufacture them in the "off season" and intall same in the "off season". For the above application - it still takes a stone mason's mentality to install. One could also imagine stone posts as an alternative to a "wood block/ bolted into the concrete/ where the hollow wood post sleeves over the block/ and the post is secured to the block". If you were serious about such a Product, you could discuss possibilities with Frosty Hollow Hardwoods (Vandergrift, PA 724 568 3440). FHH is run by Jeff Nell, it is a 3 or 4 man saw mill. They cut up the logs/ cure the wood/ and sell a premium product. They also do "parts". They have Clients who give them a Spec and they cut the "parts". This is where I got the IPE wood "parts" for the rails.. They also do HIGH QUALITY flooring, which if you considered doing installation, IN WINTER IS SORTA LIKE DOING STONE INDOORS.

We are friends of Marlene and Chuck Fazio. We absolutely love their front yard. The waterfall is awesome.
We would like to redesign our front yard, reconfiguring the ground, eliminating as much wall as possible, and putting in restructured walkways. Having you design a computer replica before you would begin the transformation would help us visualize the new yard. Marlene said you are hard to get ahold of because you are so good. We hope we'll be the lucky ones to secure your services.. Please give us a call whenever your schedule permits. Thanks for your consideration. Flo and Barry Barnett; 412-678-7454
